Walt was a custodian at Elmhurst High School while I was teaching there. I taught woods and drafting and he was the 2nd trick custodian and cleaned my rooms with class. He really enjoyed looking and admiring my student's projects and drawings. He took an interest in them because he worked with woods at home making various projects for his wife and family. I would see him and his wife at restaurants in town on occasion. May God Bless you Walt and may you Rest in Peace sir.

I worked with Walt at Elmhurst high school in the summers of 1982 and 1983 while attending college. I was 20 years old and enjoyed being around him very much. He took me and a friend of mine fishing at Huntington Reservoir a few times. He will be missed. I will never forget his kindness to me and I enjoyed working and listening to his stories very much. My thoughts and prayers are with him and the family. May he have eternal rest with God.

Walt was a very kind, loving, and giving man. When my husband was transferred there he was welcomed to stay for a year till we could get there he was family and treated as such. He took our son fishing he really enjoyed it. We all loved him so much. Boy what biscuits, Walt could cook from his military days. We will miss you, but know for sure you are in a better place with our Lord God. We Love you so much.
