I had the privledge of working with Bob for nine years in the IANG and maintained contact afterwards for years. One of my prized possesions is a portrait he drew of me that now hangs on my wall in Naples, FL. He, Glenn Brendel, and the whole training section were like a family and the three of us always celebrated our birthdays at summer camp each year since we were born all in the same year! A fine Guardsman, family man, airman and artist and his memoriy will always be fondly with me. My condolences to his family! I am in Portugal or I would be there for the service!

Our sincere condolences to Gail and the family. I counted Bob among my best of friends and it is difficult to realize that he is no longer with us. We worked together in our careers, we played together in our variious hobbies and we stayed in close touch after we moved to Noblesville. Farewell, friend, you are forever in my memories.

So sorry for your loss. He was a kind and wonderful person who will be missed by friends, family and of course his companion Tilley. Bob presented me with two of his hand made wooden bracelets last fall and I feel extremely lucky to have received them. My husband Len, had many discussions with Bob about his wonderful illustrations of airplanes. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

Gail,my name is John Madou we have met only a couple of times before at class reunions. I went to st. Mary's school in mt. Clemens bob was in my class we graduated together he was a friend if mine, and I remember him well. In reading the obituary sounds like he will be missed by many people. I am just sorry that we did not get a chance to spend more time together in our later years,sounds like he was a great guy. Please accept my sympathy to you and your family. John& sandy madou

Gail, Michelle, Matt and families: Our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers. We couldn't have asked for a better friend and neighbor. Bob was always willing to lend a tool or helpful advice when I got stumped on something. We had many a wonderful conversation over the years and he is greatly missed. Bob also did a fantastic job making the footballs that go on the fence each year for the Homestead senior football players, what a lasting legacy. We are here for all of you.
