MARIA KINDSCHY, age 86, of Fort Wayne, died at home on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Mrs. Kindschy was born in Agana, Guam on April 11, 1929 to the late Vincente H. Hernandez and Jacquina (Cruz) Hernandez. She married Darrell H.Kindschy in November 1956 in Guam. Maria was a food service director for several different area businesses before retiring in 2009.
Survivors include:
Her husband, Darrell Kindschy of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Edith Roth of Jacksonville, Florida.
Son, Fermin Rosa of Chicago.
Daughter, Erlinda Goings of Jacksonville, Florida.
Daughter, Mary Margaret Tai of Gurnee, Illinois.
Son, Darrell Kindschy, Jr. of Fort Wayne.
Son, Thomas Kindschy of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Cindy Kindschy of Fort Wayne.
9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Sister, Teresa Quiogue of Guam.
Sister, Barbara Hernandez of California.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Oscar Hernandez and Benjamin Rosa; sister, Frances Blas; and brother, Thomas Hernandez.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 4:00-6:00pm at the New Haven Navy Club Ship #245, 412 Broadway Street, New Haven, Indiana.
Graveside services and burial will be Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11:00am at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
