James Floyd Showman Sr., age 77, of New Haven, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Genesis Nursing Home in New Haven. Mr. Showman was born on March 10, 1939 in Holland, Ohio to George and Anne (Wagoner) Showman. He attended Springfield High School in Holland, Ohio. On October 25, 1957, he married Christine Carole Dyer in Toledo, Ohio. He worked in retail in the automotive industry before retiring in 2011. James belonged to the Shriners, was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and Kiwanis in New Haven, and was a former member of the New Haven Jaycees.
Survivors include:
Daughter, Kimberly and Keith Eiden.
Son, Jeff and Tracy Showman.
7 Grandchildren, Morgan, Megan, Mitchel, and Mathew Showman, Blaine Woodruff, Jeremy Woodruff , and Nick Eiden.
Great-grandchildren, Savannah Woodruff.
He was preceded in death by his spouse, parents, and two children, James Floyd Showman Jr., and Michael Arthur Showman.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10:00am with visitation one-hour prior at 9:00am at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Highway East, New Haven, Indiana 46774.
Officiating the Memorial service will be Pastor Chuck Fenwick.
Burial will take place at I.O.O.F Cemetery in New Haven.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may directed to New Haven United Methodist Church Kid’s Summer Camp Scholarship.
