Daniel Patrick Grimes

DANIEL PATRICK GRIMES, age 44, of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.  Dan was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on March 17, 1971 to Lloyd Daniel Grimes and Vickie Ruth (Sims) Grimes.  He graduated from New Haven High School in 1989.  He was employed at Meijer on Stellhorn Road in Fort Wayne and he was a member of the Martini Lutheran Church near New Haven.  Dan loved spending time with his family, his dog, Gracie and collecting Hot Wheels cars.

Survivors include:
Parents, Lloyd Daniel and Vickie Grimes of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Kelly and Jeremy Ferrell of Churubusco.
Niece, Chelsea and Lance Gustin of Churubusco.
Nephew, Andrew Ferrell of Churubusco.
Great nieces and nephew; Alice and Anna Gustin and Knox Gustin.
Maternal grandmother, Ruth Sims of Fort Wayne.
Paternal grandmother, Lois Grimes of Fort Wayne.
Many aunts and uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Sherman Sims and paternal grandfather, Lloyd Grimes.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Martini Lutheran Church, 333 Moeller Road, New Haven.  Visitation is one hour prior to the funeral service. 

Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Jim Teasdale.

Memorial donations may be made to National Kidney  Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
