William Franklin Kern, age 63, of Fort Wayne, died July 29, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Mr. Kern was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on December 1, 1956 to Wayne Allen Kern and Marcella Jean (Bazzinett) Kern. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and was employed by Wayne Steel and Dana.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Michele Kern of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Lindsay Kern of Fort Wayne.
Son, William “Bill” and Sheena Kern of Prosperity, South Carolina.
9 grandchildren.
Brother, Mike Kern of Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Brother, Ron Kern of Mrytle Beach, South Carolina.
Brother, Greg Kern of Ocala, Florida.
Sister, Cheryl Cole of Phoenix, Arizona.
Brother, Davey Jones of Fort Wayne.

Committal with military honors will occur later at Marion National Cemetery.
