Walter Pelfrey

Walter Pelfrey, age 85, of Kendallville, died Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at his daughter’s residence in Kendallville. Mr. Pelfrey was born in Devil’s Creek, Wolf County, Kentucky on December 23, 1934 to Clayton and Lillian (Carroll) Pelfrey. He lived most of his life in West Virginia and worked as a lobby man at McDonald’s. 

Survivors include:
Daughter, Beverly and William Slone of Kendallville.
Son, Walter Alton Pelfrey of Fremont. 
Daughter, Vicky Pelfrey of South Milford.
Daughter, Alice “Nan” Payne of Angola.
15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
One deceased son, Steve Allen Pelfrey.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Monday, August 24, 2020 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. A service will follow visitation at 5:00 PM with Pastor Austin Gilliland officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Hite Funeral Home.
