Virginia Bowles Obituary

Virginia Ruth Bowles, age 93, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, at her home in Muncie.  Mrs. Bowles was born in Ivy Bluff, Tennessee on September 22, 1931, to the late Isaac Lee Hayes and Dollie (Sadler) Hayes. She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1950. She married Jeddie "Jack" Bowles on June 23, 1950, in Muncie. Jack preceded her in death on March 5, 2012. Virginia was employed in the past with R.M. Thomas & Company and Ball Memorial Hospital both in Muncie. 

Survivors include:
Daughter, Brenda and David Foreman of Muncie.
Daughter, Connie and Mel Lamb of Yorktown, Indiana.
Daughter, Linda and Kenny Fannin of Parker City. 
Son, Terry and Evelyn Bowles of Yorktown, Virginia. 

7 grandchildren including Jeddie, Kristi, Laura, Bruce, Brianna, Jonathan, and Cathy.
16 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren also survive. 

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; two grandchildren, Barbara and Issac; and all 18 of her siblings. 

Both the visitation and the funeral service will be Friday, November 8, 2024, at First Brethren Church, 101 South Morrison Road, Muncie, Indiana. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM with Pastor Jim Garrett officiating. 

Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
