Twyla (Sievers) Foss

Twyla Y. Foss, age 85, of New Haven, passed away peacefully December 18, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she graduated from Ossian High School in 1954, married the love of her life, Howard the next weekend and then began their adventure of Navy life, stationed in Maryland and New Jersey, later returning to Fort Wayne to raise their family. She worked in both the medical and education field before retiring. She was a member of Trier Ridge Community Church. She was the heart of her family and had great love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. Accepting Christ at a young age she was a faithful woman who loved the Lord and had a servant’s heart always caring for her family and friends.  Surviving are daughters Ann (Alex) Guevara of Cary, N.C. and Jill (David) Zahm of New Haven, two granddaughters, one grandson, one great-granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, of 66 years in 2020, her parents Luther and Delpha Sievers and brothers Glenn and Luther (Luke) Sievers.

There will be a private family memorial service and burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens. Memorials may be made to Parkview Home Health and Hospice or Bear Lake Camp, Albion, Indiana.
