Theresa Bolen

Theresa Marie (Siples) Bolen, age 65, went home to her Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 12:53 pm. She was surrounded by her loving husband and children in their home. Theresa was born on June 12, 1959, to the late Ronald and Marlene (Kaliker) Siples in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She married her love, David Bolen, on December 17, 1977, in Kendallville Indiana. They shared 48 wonderful years together and raised 4 children in their home in the country. They are a testament to love in action through those years.

Theresa lived a life full of love. She always had a strong cup of coffee and great conversation for anyone who entered their home. Theresa was always ready for a day on the lake fishing with David. The competition was always on for who caught the most or biggest fish. She enjoyed cooking and canning from their garden and sharing it with her family. Above all, she loved spending time with David, their child and grandchildren. She was their biggest fan. Her family is her living legacy.

Theresa fought a nearly 6-year battle with cancer. The last 2 years she said have been the happiest and most peaceful time in her life as her reliance on Jesus grew every day. Theresa would tell all that she could not make it through her illness without faith and trust in God’s plan. Her faith is a shining light to all who spent time with her.

Husband, David Bolen of Wolcottville.
Daughter, Sarah and Brandon Aumsbaugh of Wolcottville.
Daughter, Jennifer Miller of Wolcottville.
Son, Adam Bolen of Wolcottville.
Daughter, Tabitha and Tyson Sparkman of LaOtto. 
Ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Brother, Randy and LeAnn Siples of Yoder, Indiana.
Brother, Jeff and Deb Siples of New Haven. 
Brother, Keith and Cindy Siples of Avilla.
Brother, Greg and Cynthia Siples of San Bernadina, California. 
Sister, Beth and Chuck Bohn of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Brothers-in-law, Earl Bolen of Stroh and Sheridan and Joyce Hall of Waterloo.
Mother-in-law, Gertie Bolen of Waterloo. 
Many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Marlene Siples; father-in-law, Shelton Bolen; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Donny Dangler; sisters-in-law, Jewel Bolen and Sue Siples.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Anglemyer officiating the service. 
Burial will follow at South Milford Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Randy Siples, Jeff Siples, Keith Siples, Beth Bohn, Greg Siples, and Sarah Aumsbaugh.
