Talbert Patrick

Talbert Larry Patrick, age 77, of Wawaka, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne following a brief illness. Mr. Patrick was born in Tribbey, Kentucky on March 30, 1945, to the late Bill and Dosha (Terry) Patrick. He graduated from Hindman High School in 1965 and went directly to the United States Army where he honorably served his country in Germany during the Vietnam War era. He married Glenda Joy Hire on September 21, 1968, in Brimfield, Indiana. Talbert was employed for many years with Starcraft in Topeka. He retired from Forest River. Talbert was a faithful member and deacon of Liberty Baptist Church in Wolcottville. He was an avid, lifelong hunter and fisherman and he loved to watch Purdue basketball.

Wife, Glenda Joy Patrick of Wawaka.
Son, Jeff and Teresa Patrick of Warsaw.
Daughter, Melissa and Stan Stidham of Wawaka.
Six grandchildren including Michael and Kara Patrick of Muncie, Tiffany and Jake Cormany of Columbia City, Stephanie Patrick of Warsaw, Jonathan and Brandi Stidham of Wawaka, Tabitha and Roberto Barajas of Elkhart, and Kaitlyn and Scott Toner of LaGrange. Seven great grandchildren.
Sister, Mary Ann Ritchie of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
Sister, Lillie Slone of Lexington, Kentucky.
Brother, Donnie and Edna Patrick of Talcum Branch, Kentucky.
Brother, Joe and Gladys Carter of Kentucky.
Brother, Daniel Patrick of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heidi Marie Stidham in 1994; sisters, Ilene Dobson, Alma Jean Amburgey; brothers, Sim Patrick, Glenn Patrick, and Carlos Ray Patrick. 

Visitation and funeral services will be held Monday, October 3, 2022, at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM with Rev. Willie Collins officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
