Shirley (Robbins) Hose

Shirley Ann Hose, age 78, of Stroh, passed away October 26, 2023 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. Mrs. Hose was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on January 5, 1945 to the late Jeremiah Ralph Robbins and Virginia Rose (Leslie) Robbins. She moved to Kendallville with her family in 1957 and attended Kendallville High School. She married John Lee Hose on January 25, 1964 at First Christian Church in Kendallville. Shirley was a housewife, homemaker and mother. She loved to read, crochet, and go dancing. 

Survivors include:
Husband, John Hose of Stroh.
Daughter, Ellen and Troy Wren of Coldwater, Michigan.
Daughter, Gale and Brad Wolf of Wolcottville.
Five grandchildren: Tonya Field (Chance Kaiser) of Coldwater, Michigan; Cody (Celeste) Field of Fremont, Indiana; Kenny (Clarissa) Wren of Quincy, Michigan; Crystal (Andrew) Allen of Montpelier, Ohio; and Daniel Hose (Nunu Wilkins) of Poland, Indiana.
Nine great grandchildren.
Brother, Dale “Slug” Robbins of Auburn. 
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Virginia Robbins; one sister, Barbara Yoder; and two brothers, Jim Robbins and Jerry Robbins. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 1st from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Davis officiating. 
Burial will follow at Lake Bethel Cemetery in LaGrange County.
