Shirley (Gantt) Garrison

Shirley Mae Garrison, age 88, of McClish Lake, Hudson, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Orchard Pointe in Kendallville. Mrs. Garrison was born near Salem Center, Indiana, Steuben County, on January 24, 1935 to the late Harold Arlo Gantt and Ruby Della (Strawser) Gantt. She graduated from Salem Center High School in 1953 and married Jerry Allan Garrison a year later on May 23, 1954 in Denver, Colorado where Jerry was stationed in the United States Air Force. Shirley was a beautician and worked in Fort Wayne for many years. 

Survivors include:
Husband, Jerry Garrison of McClish Lake.
Son, Allan and Kim Garrison of Avilla.
Son, Brian and Treena Garrison of South Portland, Maine.
Son, Charles “Chuck” Garrison of Kendallville.
Six grandchildren: Darcy and Daniel Debord of McKinney, Texas; Casey Garrison of Mesa, Arizona; Caitlin and Brian Knox of Apache Junction, Arizona; Kade Garrison of South Portland, Maine; Steven and Falon Garrison of Kendallville; and Kayla and Ray Boyd of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Patty White of LaGrange.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Billy “Pinky” Gantt; and two stepsisters, Sharon Swoveland and Florose Koenig.    

Visitation will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home. 
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Antal officiating. There will be visitation at 10:00 AM prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Wright Cemetery near Stroh.
