Shawn Christian

Shawn Chatman Christian was born June 17, 1966 at McCray Hospital, Kendallville, Indiana to Jay and Fairy (Harper) Christian. Shawn passed on October 13 at 4:30 pm at PRMC in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Shawn graduated from Dekalb High School in 1984. Shawn was a volunteer firefighter with Corunna Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He worked for his father at Jay’s Building and roofing for some years as well factory work in Middlebury. His real passion was music and he moved to Florida with Todd Herendeen and the FYD band to be Todd’s drummer for 7 years. He returned to Indiana last June and was a resident of Auburn Village, Auburn Indiana. Shawn was proceeded in death by his father J. Chatman Christian (10-10-2016) and his mother Fairy Z. (Harper) Christian (02-14-2012). 

Shawn is survived by sisters Stephanie & Michael Mayberry; Corunna; Deborah & Gregory Tipton; Kokomo; and Cindy & Christopher Hernandez of Fort Wayne, as well as 9 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews.

Shawn’s final wishes were to be cremation with no service.
