Sharlene Ann (Sablack) "Shar" Rodenbeck, age 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at Coventry Meadows in Fort Wayne. Sharlene was born in Manistique, Michigan, on May 17, 1933, to the late George A. Sablack and Margaret (Bendschaettle) Sablack.
She was united in marriage, Donald Leroy Rodenbeck on May 7, 1955, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fort Wayne. Donald, the love of her life, preceded her in death on December 9, 2020.
For many years, she worked for Indiana Medical Associates. Then later on, Shar found immense joy in working as office manager alongside her sons in the family business, Sportscenter.
Shar's life was marked by love, devotion, and a joyful spirit. She cherished time spent traveling to Siesta Key with family and loved enjoying sunny days by the pool with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the heart of every holiday and gathering, bringing warmth and laughter to all. Shar's love for her family was endless, and she will be deeply missed by all
Survivors include:
Three sons; Kevin Rodenbeck, Kirk (Margaret) Rodenbeck and Tom (Rita Zoch) Rodenbeck.
One daughter, Amy (Todd) Conn.
Grandchildren; Molly (Matt Harstead) Rodenbeck and Sydney Conn.
Great grandchildren, Amelia Marie Harstead and Morrison Harstead.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Sablack; son, Mark Jeffrey Rodenbeck; and grandson, Michael Jeffrey Rodenbeck.
A funeral liturgy will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 Fairfield Avenue in Fort Wayne.
Entombment committal service will take place at Concordia Cemetery Gardens in Fort Wayne.
