Sandra (Herald) Stephen

Sandra Lee Stephen, age 86, of Kendallville, passed away March 6, 2024 at Kendallville Manor Healthcare Center. Mrs. Stephen was born in Kendallville, Indiana on December 24, 1937 to the late William Herald and Myrtle Gladys (Ackerman) Herald. She graduated from Kendallville High School in 1956. She married Eugene Stephen on March 25, 1962 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Kendallville. Gene preceded her in death on June 14, 2014. Sandra started her working career as a keypunch operator at McCray Refrigeration in Kendallville from 1956-1959. She later was employed by Lincoln Life Insurance Company in Fort Wayne in the data processing department from 1959-1963. She then worked in the cafeteria at Central Middle School in Kendallville from 1979-1992. 

Survivors include:
Daughter, Pam and Dan Diagostino of Zionsville.
Daughter, Deb and Tony Rhoades of Kendallville.
Step daughter, Cinda and Kerry Meeks of North Carolina.
Step son, Jeff and Stephanie Stephen of Indiana.
Eight grandchildren: Gaby and Tim Ayers, Izzy Diagostino, Kimmy Rhoades, Andrew Meeks, Christopher Meeks, Dan Stephen, Sam Stephen, and Connor Stephen. 
Great granson, Rory Hagerman.

Per Sandy's request, there will be no services. She was an avid animal-lover; memorials in her name to the Noble County Humane Society are appreciated.
