Robbie L. Leighty

Robbie Lee Leighty, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at her home in Kendallville with her husband, daughter and friend Aileena Bolen by her side.  Mrs. Leighty was born on July 1, 1958, in Huntingburg, Indiana to the late Roy Marlin and Bobbie Jo (Hagan) Smith.  On April 23, 2011, she married Dan Leighty, he survives in Kendallville. Robbie loved being a massage therapist and in aiding people to feel better. She enjoyed being outside as much as she could whether it be outside working in her yard or just enjoying the weather. Robbie was raised Methodist and had faith in her Lord and Savior and was confident in her salvation.

Daughter, Heather (Billy) Lynch of Hoagland.
Grandson, Bennett (Olivia Rambo) Cleveland of Boise, Idaho.
Bonus Son, Jake (Jenny Fox) Leighty of Rome City.
Bonus Son, Ryan (Jaimie) Leighty of Rome City.
Bonus grandchildren, Grey and Lauren, Dylen, Ella, Jordan, Rhianna, Jazmine, Logan, Brantlyn, Case.
Sister, Debbie Yunker of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Marla (Mark) Boultinghouse of Chisney, Indiana.
Brother, Darrel Smith of Chisney, Indiana.
Mother-In-Law, Connie Leighty of Kendallville.
Brother-In-Law, Duane Leighty of Kendallville.
Brother-In-Law, Larry (Jan) Leighty of Kendallville.
Sister-In-Law, Diane Leighty of Kendallville.
Nieces and nephews, Pavlina, Keenan, Brandy, Anant, Kristian
She was preceded in death by her parents, Father-in-Law, Gene Leighty and a brother-in-Law, Tony Yunker.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Elks Lodge, 120 Weston Avenue, Kendallville, Indiana, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 5:00 PM. There will also be a Celebration of Life scheduled in southern Indiana at a later date.
