Ralph Penrod

Ralph Eugene Penrod, age 84, of Pierceton, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw.  Mr. Penrod was born in North Manchester, Indiana on June 18, 1938 to the late Clarence May Penrod and Pluma Naomi (Keister) Penrod. He graduated from Chester High School in 1956 and earned a degree in animal husbandry from Purdue University. Ralph had a beautiful tenor voice and while at Purdue, he was a member of the Glee Club. He married Linda Lou Hart on March 25, 1960 in North Manchester, Indiana. Ralph was a farmer and foundryman. He was employed by Dalton Foundry for 25 years. He was a charter member of Lakeland Grace Brethren Church in Warsaw where he faithfully served The Lord for many years. Ralph was God’s good and faithful servant as a deacon, youth leader, music and song leader. He was also involved in Christian outreach and evangelism through his church and Youth for Christ in his younger days. He was a wonderful husband and father, and he taught his children well about the love of God.   

Survivors include:
Wife, Linda Penrod of Pierceton.
Son, Rodney and Kim Penrod of Berne. 
Daughter, Cindy and Bret McDonald of Milford.
Five grandchildren: Jesse McDonald of Marion, Iowa; Amanda (Robert) Anderson of Indianapolis; Matthew Penrod of Melbourne, Australia; Jewel and Chris Gonce of Fort Wayne; Jennifer (Robert) Griffin of Berne.
Four great grandchildren: Owen Anderson, Felix Anderson, Arika Griffin and Castilaya Griffin.
Sister, Rachel Webb of North Manchester. 
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Wanda Munson, Byron Penrod, Joseph Penrod, Lulubelle Clapp, Trula Callahan, and Vaughn Penrod. 

Visitation will be Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Lakeland Grace Brethren Church, 2538 South County Farm Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
A funeral service will also be held Saturday, November 5th at the church at 1:00 PM. Pastor Rob Cover will officiate the funeral service.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, North Manchester. 
Memorial donations may be made to Lakeland Grace Brethren Church.
