Patricia June Hunter, age 79, lovingly known to family and friends as "Susie", passed peacefully at home in Fort Wayne, Indiana on July 8, 2025. She was born in Pineville, Kentucky, on April 2, 1946, to James C. and Dora K. Hunter (Woolum) as the middle child to 11 siblings.
Patricia retired from Petroleum Traders Corporation but continued to work there after retirement. She spent her life loving her family and all of the friends that became her family along with camping, sewing, crocheting, making jewelry and dancing she was a dedicated square dancer for years. She found her happy place at Jellystone park in Pierceton Indiana and created a "nest" where all of her family could come home to gather.
Susie is survived by her daughter, Lisa Stelzer (Jeff); son, James Hembree (Rhonda); stepson, Donald Wilson (Misty); stepdaughter, Michelle Kelley (Jim). 12 grandchildren and 12 great grand children; also her sisters, Ardith Mcinturf (Larry), Deloris Robbins, Joe Hunter (Dot) and Morris Hunter along with uncountable nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Susie was proceeded in death by her parents James and Dora Hunter, her grandson Camryn James Hembree. Sisters Mary Lou Sergent, Betty Collins and Doris Hunter. Brothers Clarence (Dicky), James and Jerry Hunter.
There is no service now as a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
