Patricia Ann (Sorlie) Heckley

Patricia Ann Heckley, age 86, of Ossian, passed away September 19, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Heckley was born near Hoagland, Indiana on October 5, 1934 to the late Vernon and Rose (Snell) Sorlie. She graduated from Ossian High School in 1953 and married Donald Gene Heckley on December 18, 1953 the Ossian Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2013. Patricia was employed in the past with City Market and Lighted Gardens in Ossian. She was a member of the Twelve Bells club for more than 68 years. 

Survivors include:
Daughter, Vonell and Patrick Pursifull of Ossian.
Daughter, Jennifer Welch of Ossian.
Son, Michael Heckley of Ossian.
Six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Brother, Jerald Sorlie of Hoagland.
Sister-in-law, Bobbi Sorlie of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and two brothers, James Sorlie and Jack Sorlie. 

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 701 South Jefferson Street, Ossian with Rev. David Herr officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Ossian United Methodist Church.
