Monte Conley Obituary

MONTE CONLEY, age 88, of Kendallville, died December 31, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mr. Conley was born in Garrett, Kentucky on October 15, 1935 to Robert and Virgie (Chaffins) Conley. He married Anna Mae Cox on March 5, 1956 in Garrett, Kentucky. Monted was a truck driver and member of the Teamster's Union Local #414 of Fort Wayne for 18 years. He also drove truck for Auburn Foundry the last 13 years before he retired. He attended Harbor Of Love Baptist Church in Kendallville. Monte loved living life to the fullest. He loved to go fishing and watch University of Kentucky basketball. He was a friendly and kind man who will be deeply missed but never forgotten. 

Survivors include: 
Wife of 67 years, Anna Mae Conley of Avilla.
Daughter, Jennifer Leah and Richard Schoeff of Sellersburg, Indiana. 
Son, Robert Christopher Conley of Avilla.
Two grandchildren: Caitlin and Evan Adams of Georgetown, Kentucky and Wade Schoeff of Charlestown, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Virgie Conley; daughter, Sherry Lynn Conley, who died on March 11, 2011; brother, Elmer Conley, Irland Conley, Hubert Conley; and sister, Girlie Chaffins.

Visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Harbor of Love Baptist Church near Kendallville.
Funeral Services will also be Friday, January 5, 2024 at 1:00 Pm at Harbor of Love Baptist Church.
Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Charles Mosley.
Burial will be at Rehobeth Cemetery near Albion.
