Michael “Mike” Alan Ream, born May 28, 1965, passed away on Sunday, April 26th, surrounded by the love of his family.
A proud 1983 graduate of East Noble High School, Mike was deeply involved in music during his school years, playing trumpet in both the jazz band and the marching band. He continued his education at Purdue University, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Supervision in 1988. After college, he moved to Houston, Texas, where he spent several years working in both the computer manufacturing industry and new home construction management.
In 1999, Mike returned to his hometown to be closer to the family he cherished. He embraced his role as an uncle with unmatched devotion, becoming a beloved and constant presence in the lives of his five nieces and nephews. They will forever remember his humor, his kindness, and the way he made each of them feel seen and loved.
Mike had a sharp wit and a mischievous streak that kept his friends and family laughing—or guessing—at all times. Whether he was pulling a harmless prank, delivering a perfectly timed one liner, or simply observing the world with his unique sense of humor, he brought joy and levity wherever he went.
A lifelong lover of the latest technology, Mike was always eager to explore new gadgets and innovations. He was also an avid fan of science fiction—both novels and films—and kept a keen interest in current events. His curiosity about the world was endless, and he shared that enthusiasm freely with those around him. Mike was a true movie and music buff, the kind of person who could quote scenes, debate soundtracks, and never turned down a trip to the theater. His passions, humor, and gentle spirit left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Beverly Ream and Guy and Marjorie Zolman, as well as his brother-in-law, Mark Fisher.
Surviving are his parents, Craig and Linda Ream; his siblings, Lynette (Jim) Hanes and Candy Fisher; and his nieces and nephews: Connor (Janelle) Wagner, Cassidy Fisher, Courtney Wagner, Caleb Fisher, and Carson Fisher, along with his great nephew, Henry Wagner.
