Melissa Meyers

Melissa Ann Meyers of Kendallville, passed away on August 15, 2025.  She was born on June 18, 1968, in Martin, Kentucky, to the late Princess Hicks and Virgil Rice.  On May 18, 1989, Melissa married Kenneth Meyers in Steuben County, Indiana.  Melissa was a homemaker, but she also enjoyed playing Bingo -- making new friends along the way -- and loved taking a chance with lottery tickets.  Melissa loved going to the races with her husband, Ken, ever since going to the racetrack on their first date.  She loved cats and she loved Elvis, but her children and grandchildren were at the center of her world.

Husband, Kenneth Meyers of Kendallville.
Son, Kyle (Kelly Johnson) Wheeler of Huntertown
Daughter, Courtney (Daniel) Siples of Kendallville.
Son, Cody (Kayla) Meyers of Avilla.
Six grandchildren:  Miles Wheeler; Everlee Siples; Bennett Siples; Connor Meyers; Cohen Meyers; and Cali Meyers.
Mother-in-Law, Teresa Meyers of Toledo, Ohio.
Aunt, Evelyn Lartigue of Alabama.
Sister, Sonia Knight of Garrett.
Brother, Chris Knight of Angola.
Sister, Marcia (Henry) Jordan of Michigan.
Brother, Jerry Collins of Fort Wayne.
Brother-in-Law, Patrick Meyers of Michigan.
Sister-in-Law, Debbie (Shawn) Callahan of Toledo.
Brother-in-Law, Tim Meyers of Toledo.
Sister-in-Law, Tina Meyers of Michigan.
Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, Princess Hicks and Virgil Rice; and a brother, Leslie Knight.

A visitation will take place at Hite Funeral Home, 403 S. Main St., Kendallville, on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home.  Interment will take place in Orange Township Cemetery in Rome City, Indiana.
