Mark Richmond, age 63, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Stillwater Hospice, Fort Wayne. Mark was born in Sturgis, Michigan on June 28, 1960 to the late Delmer and Karen (Holsinger) Richmond. Mark had a 43-year career in the scrap metal recycling business and was employed by Sturgis Iron and Metal and OmniSource before retiring. He was an outstanding wrestler and motocross racer. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf, and traveling the world on the Silver Seven Seas with his wife.
Survivors include:
Wife of 24 years, Esther (Wickey) Richmond of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Jennifer and Patrick Hoelscher of Sturgis, Michigan.
Daughter, Jade and Ryan Johnson of Portage, Michigan.
Son, Dan and Emily Kastner of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Son, Scott Webber of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Eight grandchildren.
Brother, Mike and Sandy Richmond of Fremont, Indiana.
Brother, Matthew Richmond and Marty Gilbert of Los Angeles, California.
A private gathering of family and close friends will be held at a later date along with private burial at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
