Marge Browand Obituary

Marjorie Ellen Browand, age 97, lifetime Kendallville resident, died January 13, 2021 at Orchard Pointe, Kendallville. Ms. Browand was born in Kendallville, Indiana on July 1, 1923 to the late Alfred Albert and Elsie Lavana (Kuhn) Browand. Marge was the oldest of five girls. She graduated from Kendallville High School in 1941. Marge was a bookkeeper with Reliable Tool and Machine in Kendallville for 23 years. Her sisters, Lavana “Bonnie” King, Virginia “Tootie” Bortner, Evelyn Diehm, and Kathleen “Katie” Campbell all preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by nephew, Bernard Bortner and niece, Diana Bortner.

Surviving nieces and nephews include:
Steve and Sue Diehm of Walhalla, Michigan.
David Diehm of Garrett, Indiana.
Barbara Simpson of Fort Wayne.
Karen and Douglas Richards of Ligonier.
Peggy LaRue of Kendallville.
Many great nieces and nephews.

No services or visitation. Burial will take place at a later date at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
