Lucy (Burks) Peaks

Lucy Marie Peaks, age 86, of New Haven, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at her residence. Mrs. Peaks was born in Welch, West Virginia on August 28, 1937 to the late John Harrison Burks and Pearly (McCoy) Burks. 

Survivors include:
Her husband of 69 years, Donald Robert Peaks of New Haven.
Son, Donald and Mary Peaks, Jr. of Roanoke, Indiana.
Daughter, Sharon and Mike Glackin of New Haven.
Daughter, Karon and Adrian Porter of Burleson, Texas.
Son, Greg and Tina Peaks of Fort Wayne.
Seven grandchildren including Sean Peaks (Brandy) of Roanoke; Stephanie and Ryan Surber of Columbia City; Spencer Peaks (fiancé, Britney) of Fort Wayne; Nate and Abbie Glackin of Fort Wayne; Felicia Glackin and her husband, Charles Kennard of New Haven; Cortnie and Chris Woenker of New Haven; and Mitchell Peaks of Fort Wayne. 24 great grandchildren.
Sister, Edith and A.C. Pullman of Windsor, Virginia.
Many nieces and nephews also survive. 

Visitation and funeral services will be Friday, December 15, 2023 at First Baptist Church, 1716 Werling Road, New Haven, Indiana. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 noon at the church.
Burial will take place on Monday at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.
