Lola June Pavka, age 92, of Kendallville, passed away at her home June 1, 2024. Mrs. Pavka was born in Hindman, Kentucky on April 29, 1932, to the late Troy and Laura (Dixon) Back. She entered into the United States Army June 26, 1952, where she met her future husband and honorably served her country at Fitzsimons Army Hospital, Denver, Colorado until May 3, 1954. She married George A. Pavka on March 31, 1953, in Castle Rock, Colorado. George preceded her in death in 2009.

Son, Troy and Mary Pavka of Camden, Michigan.
Son, William and Linda Pavka of Albion, Michigan.
Daughter, Mary and Neal Augenstein of Kendallville, Indiana.
Son, Dennis and Ivanna Pavka of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Son, David Pavka of Reading, Michigan.
8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Brother, Jesse and Velma Back of Louisville, Kentucky.
Sister, Frances and Dennis Hampton of Dayton, Ohio.
Sister, Mable Frances of Dayton, Ohio.
Brother, John and Angie Back of Lackey, Kentucky.
Sister-in-law, Laura Pavka of Hillsdale, Michigan.
Brother-in-law, Joe and Betty Pavka of Reading, Michigan.
Lola June was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Laura Back; her husband, George Pavka; two grandsons, William Joseph Pavka and Roger Anthony Funk; and a sister-in-law.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Kendallville, with visitation at 9:00 AM prior to the mass.
Burial with military honors will take place at California Corners Cemetery, Montgomery, Michigan.
