Linda Kay Russell, age 73, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at her home in Kendallville. Mrs. Russell was born in Rushville, Indiana on May 23, 1950 to the late Robert Lee Howard and Ruth Ann (Ray) Porter. She married the love of her life, Paul Burton Huston, who preceded her in death in 1997. Linda moved to Laotto in 1997 before coming to Kendallville in 2019. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and employed by the Kendallville Manor Healthcare Center. Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Gizmo. She loved collecting angels, being outdoors, doing yardwork, and growing flowers. Linda would do anything for anybody without expecting anything in return. She was a true Elvis Presley fan.
Survivors include:
Son, James Robert and Paula Huston of Kendallville.
Son, Paul Burton Huston of Kendallville.
Daughter, Peggy Barker of Muncie.
Son, Floyd Patterson of Warsaw.
Nine grandchildren.
Brother, Walter Howard and Mary Theresa Funk of Tampa, Florida.
Sister, Rosalie Townsend of Crossville, Tennessee.
Brother, Rex and Mary Howard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Brother, Richard Howard of Bonham, Texas
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Howard and Ruth Ann Porter; her husband, Paul Burton Huston; and two brothers, Robert Lee Howard, Jr. and Theodore John Howard.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Hite Funeral Home with visitation at 10:00 AM prior to the service. Pastor Robert Boston will officiate the funeral.
Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
