Kevin Paul Hile, age 62, of Kendallville and Fort Wayne, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at home. Kevin was born in Tipp City, Ohio, on August 9, 1962, to Paul and Mary (Haid) Hile. He graduated from East Noble High School in 1980. He managed several area Miller's grocery stores for 33 years. Kevin was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were Notre Dame Fighting Irish football, Indiana University Hoosier basketball, Chicago Bears, and Cincinnati Reds.
Survivors include:
Daughter, Kristie Hile of Fort Wayne and her companion, Josh McCoy.
Daughter, Alyssa and Bryan Burke of Westfield, Indiana.
Four grandchildren: Cooper Burke and Carter Burke, Alexis Fischbach and Rowan McCoy, and soon to be baby boy Burke.
Best friend and companion, Trish Furlow of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Becky Workman of Kendallville.
Brother, Dennis and Kathy Hile of Troy, Ohio.
Nieces and nephews: Heather Hile Prince, Brad Workman, Renae Helmkamp, Chris Hile, Katie Hile Barnes, Zach Hile, and Kelsey Hile.
Two special dogs he loved, Koda and Winston.
Kevin was preceded in death his parents, Paul Hile in 2002 and Mary Hile in 2012; one brother, Barry Hile in 2000.
Visitation and funeral services will both be held Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 7:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM. Pastor Chris Mosley will officiate the service. Burial will take place at a later date at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
