June Ellen Kramer Burt, age 85, of Rochester, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, Indiana. June was born near Warsaw, in Kosciusko County, Indiana on June 9, 1937 to the late Carl Carrothers and Rhoda (Bacon) Carrothers Brown. Her father died at a young age, and she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Ralph Brown, who also preceded her in death. She was supervisor with Hart Schaffner Marx men’s clothing company. In 1956, she was married and during this marriage she gave birth to two sons, Frederick J. Sumpter and Judson W. “Jud” Sumpter. Jud preceded her in death. On February 15, 1964, she married Charles Robert “Bob” Kramer, which then began their blended family. She gained two bonus sons, Rick A. Kramer and Brent D. Kramer. Brent preceded her in death. Bob and June were married 42 years until Bob’s death in 2006. Bob and June traveled the country extensively by motorcycle. After Bob passed, June traveled on her own to Florida and various other places. Her favorite place to visit were the locks at Ste. Saint Marie. She married Theldon Burt in 2014 but they were separated December 2022.

Grandchildren: Dexter and Heather Sumpter of Texas; Arica and Jim Moser of Fishers; Seth Kramer of Fort Wayne; Tina Ewing of Akron, Indiana; Josh Kramer of Maine; Brie Kramer of Rhode Island.
7 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Her seven brothers and sisters are deceased including Lennis Wise, Carol Louise Carrothers, Laura Hathaway, Mary Whistler, Bill Carrothers, Gail Hurst, and Thelma Ring.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Whippoorwill Community Church, 4795 N 200 W, Rochester, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
Burial will follow at Mount Hope Athens Cemetery, Athens, Indiana.
Memorial donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association.
