Joline Bowers

Joline “Jo” Toth Bowers, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 at Parkview Randallia, at the age of 67. She was born on August the 18th, in 1954 to Francis J. Toth and Corinne E. Wetter. She was married to Steven Bowers, who passed away in 1980, shortly before their second child was born.

Growing up she described herself as someone who valued learning above much else, often skipping school just to go to the library and learn more than they’d teach her in school. Though this didn’t stop her from getting into the occasional trouble with friends.

She often cited that a big reason for her early development was the guidance of her grandmother, Mildred Wetter. She wrote that she is the person she most wanted to be like. So, she provided her own guidance and nurturing to the people in her life who needed it the most.

Jo loved poetry, writing, and all forms of science. She put up a tough front, but had a heart of gold, often taking in strays who needed a home, whether that be the occasion cat or a person.

She is survived by her children Nicholas Bowers and Michael Bowers; three grandchildren, Meihkai Bowers, Luka Bowers, and Bridget Bowers; her sister Dawn (Rick) Myers.

A celebration of life will be held on her birthday, August 18th, 2022.
