James Neu

James Phillip Neu, age 70, of Adams Lake near Wolcottville, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Majestic Care in Fort Wayne. James was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on February 27, 1951 to the late Thyral Lyman Neu and Genevieve Marie (Figel) Neu. He graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School in 1969. He married Pamela Lynn Newhouse on October 1, 1977 in Decatur, Indiana. Jim was a police officer with the Fort Wayne Police Department for 32 years before retiring in August of 2004. He was a member of St. Gaspar Catholic Church, Rome City.

Wife, Pam Neu of Adams Lake, Wolcottville.
Son, Matthew Neu of Fort Wayne.
Son, Jacob Neu of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Heidi Neu of Adams Lake, Wolcottville.
Brother, Ken and Betty Neu of Adams Lake.
Brother, John and Cathy Neu of Liberty Center, Indiana.
Sister, Barb Cook of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Peg and Mike Randolph of Adams Lake, Wolcottville.
Sister, Pam and Roger Sorg of Churubusco, Indiana.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Gaspar Catholic Church, 10871 North State Road 9, Rome City with visitation from 10:00 -11:00 AM prior to the service.
Burial will follow at St. Gaspar Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to PAL of the Fort Wayne Police Department, Alzheimer’s Association of Indiana, or St. Gaspar Catholic Church.
