James Beverly

James Edward Beverly, age 54, lifetime Kendallville resident, passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2022, at his home.  James was born in Kendallville, Indiana on November 21,1969 to the late Lawrence Beverly and Joyce Ann (McDonald) Beverly. He graduated from East Noble High School in 1989 and was employed with Max Platt Ford Lincoln Mercury in Kendallville for 26 years. James loved his job at the dealership, and he was a "Ford Guy" through and through. James was the proud owner of a 1991 Saleen Ford Mustang. He was a devoted fan of the Oakland (now Los Angeles) Raiders football team, Indiana University basketball and he also enjoyed watching NASCAR.  James was also a dedicated support member of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. James also liked to listen to country and rock-n-roll music. Gretchen Wilson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Lynard Skynyrd and Old Hank Williams were among his favorites. James was one of the nicest, caring persons one could ever meet. He would give you the shirt off his back if needed. He was loved by many and will be missed greatly. 

Survivors include:
Sister, Debra and Kenneth Scott of Kendallville.
Brother, David Beverly of Kendallville.
Nephew, Brandon and Jessica Scott of Niceville, Florida; neice, Heather and Brian Biddle of Kendallville.
Great nieces and nephews: Bryson, Henry, Jarett, Madelyn, Charlotte, Kiera, Katey, Chloe, and Claire.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 12, 2024, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Hite Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
Memorial donations may be made to Noble County Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
