Harold Eugene King, age 88, of Kendallville and Fort Wayne, passed away January 1, 2022 at his residence in Fort Wayne. Mr. King was born in Albion, Indiana on May 10, 1933 to the late Carl A. King and Lottie Mae (Budd) King. He graduated from Albion-Jefferson High School and honorably served his country in the United States Army. He married Dolores May Walters on March 11, 1956 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville. A was a devoted and loving husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa. He was employed in the past by J.O. Mory in South Milford. Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He loved the outdoors. Harold was baptized in 1957 and he worshiped faithfully at St. John Lutheran Church, Kendallville; Hope Lutheran Church, Bonita Springs, Florida; and Praise Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. For many years he assisted the financial secretary, served on the church council as trustee and church council secretary at St John Lutheran Church in Kendallville.

Wife, Dolores May King of Fort Wayne.
Son, Mark W. King of Aiken, South Carolina.
Grandchildren, Luke Shank, Drew Beiswanger, Naomi Beiswanger, Joshua King and Sara King.
Sisters, Irene Roy, Dianne Matthews, Nancy Blaskie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jacquelyn Kae Strasser; grandson,1st Lieutenant, Neale M. Shank; brothers, Elden King, Dallas King, Glenn King, Lowell King; sisters, Hilda Lensky, Edith Maddex, Delores Rusk, Ardith Kiester, and Devota Bolen.
Funeral services with military honors will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Praise Lutheran Church, 1115 West Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana with visitation at 10:00 AM prior to the service. Pastor Seth Korte will officiate the funeral service.
