Glenna Manns Obituary

Glenna Manns, age 74, of Avilla, passed away March 9, 2025, at her residence. Mrs. Manns was born January 23, 1951, in Handshoe, Kentucky, to the late Alex Terry and Nancy Jane (Handshoe) Terry. She married James Manns, Jr. in 1976 and he preceded her in death in 1991. Glenna loved tending to her flower gardening, watching the birds, spending time with her grandkids, and making people laugh. She was a dedicated Kentucky Wildcats fan. 

Survivors include:
Son, Denver and Rachel Manns of Kendallville.
Son, David Manns of Kendallville.
Son, Jerry Manns of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Sherry Manns of Kendallville.
Daughter, Terry and Billie Shetley of Auburn.
Stepson, Mackie and Pam Manns of Kendallville.

15 grandchildren: Destany Manns, Alex Manns, Vanessa Manns, Camryn Manns, Hailey Price, Madison Castleman, Jerry Manns, Jr., Abbigayle Manns, Ashley Young, Brooke Young, Christen Young, Austin Shepherd, Sierra Brandenburg, Colt Brandenburg, Ian Brandenburg; four step grandchildren: Ricky Manns, Joyce Cole, Mindy DePew and Mackie Manns, Jr.; and three great grandchildren.

Many nieces and nephews.  

Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Nancy Terry; her husband, James Manns, Jr.; brother, Raymond Terry; sisters, Opal Terry, Nella Faye Terry and Delphine Ramey; half-brother, Delmer Terry; half-sisters, Sadie Adkins and Edith Holifield; brothers-in-law, Duke Ramey, Corbit Green, and Donald Strange; sister-in-law, Carolyn Terry and Ilda Terry; nephews, David Lee Bolen, Dwayne Strange, Kenneth Green, and Donald Green; and nieces, Amy Nicole Terry and Patricia Van Auken. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Pastor Earl Bolen conducting the service. 
Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
