Gary Lee Presswood, 71, of Elkhart, passed away pain free in Fort Wayne on May 14, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, under the care of hospice. Gary was born in Elkhart, Indiana on August 19, 1952, to the late William Stanton Presswood and Phyllis (Bingaman) Jiles.
He leaves behind two loving daughters, Kassandra Presswood and Kristen Cooper both of Elkhart; and two stepchildren, Brad (Tasha) Fales of Allen Texas and Tina Russell of Elkhart.
He also leaves behind 11 siblings, Bill Presswood, Bob Presswood, Melody Smith, Scott Presswood, Darrin Presswood, John (Pauline) Mattson, Glenda (Mark) Hershberger, Elaine (Denny) O’Dell, Marvin (Angie) Mattson, Brad Dunfee, and Gerold Dunfee.
Ten grandchildren, one great grandchild and lots of nieces and nephews also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Presswood Sr., stepmother, Madelline Presswood and his mother, Phyllis Jiles. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rick Dunfee and Michael Mattson and two sisters, Candy Dunfee and Brenda Keyser.
Gary worked in the RV and van conversion industry. He was always the life of the party! He loved music and dancing and always ready to be social. Many a weekend night you could catch him at one of his favorite hangouts, the VFW in Elkhart. He also loved his Harley, and you could always find him in a leather jacket. He definitely lived his life to the fullest!
