Frances Lee Bright, age 87, of Kendallville, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Bright was born in Garrett, Indiana, on August 22, 1937, to the late Chalmer Lavern Carper and Alma Louise (Wehlan) Carper. She graduated from Garrett High School in 1956. Early on, Frances was employed by Lincoln Life and General Electric in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She moved to Florida and worked with nursing homes as their social services director. She married George Arthur Bright on June 12, 1988, in Silver Springs, Florida. Frances and George have lived in Kendallville for 31 years coming back home from Florida in 1994. Frances loved watching old movies, gardening and babysitting her grandkids. She also was interested in politics and welcomed any chance to discuss the latest political hot topics.

Son, Brian Brown of Avilla.
Daughter, Brenda and Leo Burrows of Ocklawaha, Florida.
Daughter, Brandy and Dan Hurley of Albion.
Son, Brandon and Renea Brown of Kendallville.
Daughter, Katie and Christopher Chapman of Garelochhead, Scotland.
Son, Brendan Bright of Lake Mary, Florida.
17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Sister, Karen and Nick Carunchia of Kendallville.
Sister, Theresa Nash of Dallas, Texas.
Brother, Alan and Cindy Carper of Schererville, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chalmer and Alma Carper and a brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Marjorie Carper.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 15th, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Pastor Regan Ford officiating. There will be visitation at 10:00 AM prior to the service.
Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Association.
