Evalyn (Blankenship) McDonald

Evalyn McDonald, age 88, of Kendallville, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at home. Evalyn was born in McDowell, Kentucky on June 23, 1932 to the late Andy Jack and Della (Moore) Blankenship. She married Orville Kenneth McDonald on August 14, 1948 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Orville preceded her in death on January 16, 2001. 

Survivors include:
Son, Kenneth and Diane McDonald of Kendallville.
Son, Eddie and Barbara McDonald of Willard, Ohio.
Daughter, Linda and Rodney Hurst of Kendallville.
Daughter, Reba and Rex Bardsley of Kendallville.
11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Sister, Roseanna Williamson of Drift, Kentucky.
Evalyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sons, Denzil McDonald in 2017 and Darrell McDonald in 1986; sisters, Olga Caudill, Marie Hager, Eleanor Brown and Opal Blankenship; and infant brother, Thomas Blankenship. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home with visitation at 12:00 noon prior to the service. Rev. Charles Mosley will officiate the service. 
Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery.
