Doug Johnson

Kenneth Douglas “Doug” Johnson, age 56, of Kendallville, died unexpectedly early Thursday morning on May 7, 2020 at his residence in Kendallville.  Doug was born in Kendallville, Indiana on May 5, 1964 to Kenneth Ray Johnson and Josephine (Short) Johnson. He married Monica Lacosta Slone on May 11, 2016 in Kendallville.

Survivors include:
Wife, Monica Johnson of Kendallville.
Son, Jeremy and Mary Johnson of Kendallville.
Grandchildren, Tiyson and Tanner Johnson of Kendallville.
Stepdaughter, Brittany and Alex Bowen of Inez, Kentucky.
Stepson, Zachary and Destiny Miller of Butler, Indiana.
Stepson, Jerry and Karina Miller of Kendallville.
Stepdaughter, Kristan and Corey Slone of Butler.
12 step grandchildren: Lynnex, Colton, Karmen, Kyson, Kali, Kashton, Brantley, Bailey, Paisley, Lexie, Oakleigh, and Della.  
Parents, Kenneth and Josephine Johnson of Kendallville.
Brother, Brent and Valerie Johnson of Kendallville.
Nephew, Bryce Johnson.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 11, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home with visitation an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
