Cory Moore

Cory Nicholas Moore, age 39, died at home March 2, 2021. Cory was born in Dubuque, Iowa on June 14, 1981 to Robert Charles Moore and Jeanne Marie (Roerig) Moore. He married Janel Marie Pergrem on his birthday, June 14, 2018 at Bixler Lake in Kendallville. Cory was a whiz at anything mechanical. He spent his days finding creative ways to build go-carts or fix motorcycles and old vehicles. When not tinkering, Cory loved fishing and other outdoor activities. He was a devoted father to Maddie and Nate. Cory took pride in teaching Nate to use tools and was pleased when he learned to use a welder last year. He was very proud of the young lady Maddie has become, taking her first job, and was looking forward to helping her learn to drive this year. Cory was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Son, Nate Moore of Kendallville.
His service dog, Sabra.
Parents, Robert and Jeanne Moore of Dubuque, Iowa.
Mother-in-law, Shelby and Bill Woodcock of Kendallville 
Grandmother, Shirley Stecklein of Platteville, Wisconsin.
Brother, Rodney Osborne of Ohio.
Brother, Donald Johnston of Kendallville.
Sister-in-law, Karly and Jeff Short of Kendallville. 
Brother-in-law, Cameron and Ashley Rogers of Indianapolis.
Sister-in-law, Trisha Collins of Kendallville.
Sister, Jessica and Tom Helbing of East Dubuque, Iowa. 
Sister, Joan Moore and husband, Grant Brown of Iowa City, Iowa.
Sister, Natalie Morrigan of St. Paul, Minnesota. 

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
