Caryl (Schwarz) Blue
June 16, 1942 ~ December 1, 2023 (age 81) 81 Years Old
Caryl Lea (Schwarz) Blue age 81 went home to her heavenly savior on December 1. Caryl was born to the late Joseph Walter and Gladys (Fox) Schwarz on June 16 1942. In July 1959 she married Larry Blue in Kendallville, IN.
Caryl lived her life by loving her family and others unselfishly. She enjoyed the outdoors by playing tennis, taking walks in the woods, mushroom hunting and living at the lake. She poured her life into the lives of her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Caryl was manager of the Chronister Hallmark card and gift store finishing a 50 year career at Walgreens. She loved her job creating beautiful displays and often said she felt she never worked a day in her life.
Caryl’s faith in her Lord was her anchor and her joy. Perhaps what friends and family will remember most about Caryl was the way she made them feel. She had a rare ability to make people feel loved and admired, important and included. She fostered loving relationships and lifelong friendships and did so with grace and enthusiasm.
Caryl is survived by her husband, Larry, a daughter Kim (Kevin) Marti, grandson, Cliff (Ashley) Meyer, granddaughter, Kasie (Jon) Milk, two great granddaughters, Lily Meyer and Jensen Milk and one great-grandson, Luke Meyer.
Caryl was preceded in death by her father, mother and her brother Jerry Schwarz.
A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Preferred memorials are to National Wildlife Federation, 11100 Wildlife Center Drive, Reston, VA 20190.
