Carol (Campbell) Hoppe

Carol Melvine Hoppe, age 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away February 16, 2024 at Golden Years Nursing Home. Mrs. Hoppe was born in Lima, Ohio on November 8, 1928 to the late Wellington and Fairy (Bish) Campbell.  She married Paul William Hoppe on June 20, 1948 in Hicksville, Ohio. Paul preceded her in death January 19, 2024. Carol was a devoted wife and dedicated homemaker and caring mother. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Linda and Arthur Just of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Susan and Lauren DenHartog of Fort Wayne.
Three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Carol was also preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara K. Hoppe; her sister, Maxine Day; and her brother, James Campbell.

Private burial will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens. A memorial service and celebration of Paul and Carol's life will take place at a later date.
