In Loving Memory of Carlos Parra September 1938 – February 2021
Carlos Parra, 82, passed unexpectedly Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital. Carlos, a native of Mexico, migrated to the US with his parents when he was 10 years old, the eldest of five children. His parents, Fidel and Maria Parra, preceded him in death. The Parra family eventually settled in Fort Wayne, where Carlos graduated from Central Catholic High School and enlisted in the Military in 1958, achieving a rank of Corporal with an honorable discharge. Carlos was married to Dora Guajardo for over 57 years after serving four years in United States Army. He had a successful career with General Electric as supply chain manager, retiring with over 35 years of service. After retirement, Carlos enjoyed working with the League for the Blind-Disabled. He was a dedicated Jehovah Witness for over 33 years in the Spanish congregation in Fort Wayne.
Survivors include wife Dora, and their 3 children; Carlos R. Parra, Emily Lusher, and Belinda Torres; 3 grandchildren, Abigail Campos, Saralucia Torres, and Dominic Parra; 1 brother, Fidel and 3 sisters, Elvia, Maria Magdalena, and Norma.
Video presentation will begin at 1:45pm via Zoom on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Memorial service in English to begin at 2:00pm followed by Spanish service at 5:00pm.
