Brenda (Koomler) McConnehey

Brenda Lee McConnehey, age 71, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 following a long illness. Brenda was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on December 24, 1949 to Vernon and Rita (Diver) Koomler. She graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1968 and Ravenscroft Beauty College. For 47 years, Brenda was a self-employed hair stylist and artist. She married Ronald Ray McConnehey on February 21, 1970 in Fort Wayne. 

Survivors include:
Husband, Ron McConnehey of Fort Wayne.
Son, Michael Todd McConnehey of Fort Wayne.
Mother, Rita Koomler of Fort Wayne. 
Brother, Doug and Diana Koomler of Fort Wayne.
Brother, Dennis and Diane Koomler of Fort Wayne.
Brother, Brad and Cheryl Koomler of Fort Wayne.
Brother, Mark and Bonnie Koomler of Syracuse.
She was preceded in death by her father and son, Neal McConnehey.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at The Chapel, 2505 West Hamilton Road South, Fort Wayne, IN 46814. There will also be visitation an hour prior to the funeral service. 
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at The Chapel with Pastor Phil Johnson officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Parkview Hospice or CurePSP. 
Burial will take place later at Covington Memorial Gardens.
