Bob Kugler

Robert Wayne Kugler, age 87, formerly of Lake of the Woods, near Hudson, passed away January 3, 2025, at his son's home near Huntertown. Bob was born in Wolf Lake, Indiana on June 18, 1937, to the late Wayne Hubert Kugler and Levanche (Bair) Kugler. He graduated from Ashley High School in 1955. He married Shirley Ann Miller in Salem Center on June 23, 1956. They were married 56 years before her death in 2013.  Bob worked in route sales for Cover-All Rental Services for 25 years. He retired in 1999 after 12 years with Sears Industrial Sales.  After retirement, he enjoyed driving parttime for Noble County Council on Aging for 18 years. He was an active member of South Milford Church of Christ where he served as a deacon and elder.  Besides loving and caring for his family, Bob enjoyed living at the lake, fishing, golfing, gardening and riding his Honda Silver Wing motorcycle. 

Survivors include:
Daughter, Parris and Rod Wilcox of Auburn. 
Daughter, Laurie and Jeff Shappell of Huntertown.
Son, Kell and Marcie Kugler of Huntertown.
Six grandchildren: Paige and Kenneth Bulger of Fort Wayne; Jillian Comeau and Jeff Kempf of Auburn; Lucas and Jennifer Shappell of Fort Wayne; Wesley and Kate Shappell of Fort Wayne; Allyce Kugler of Huntertown; and Caylin and Tim Boles of Fort Wayne.
Eleven great-grandchildren: Savannah, James, Landry, Anna, Landon, William, Alexander, Raelynn, Maren, Charlotte and Autumn. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Levanche Kugler; his beloved wife, Shirley Kugler; and three brothers, Francis Kugler, Hubert Kugler and Donald Kugler. 

Visitation and funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, at South Milford Church of Christ. Visitation will take place from 1:00 - 3:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM. Pastor Brian Walter will officiate the service. 
Memorial donations may be made to South Milford Church of Christ or Noble County Council on Aging.
