Betty Stidham Obituary

Betty Lou Stidham, age 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, Indiana.  She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on October 5, 1941 to the late Tinsley A. and Elsie (Eldridge) Baker. In 2004, she retired as an industrial seamstress after 40 years of service at both Starcraft and Mastercraft.  Betty was a long-time member of Community Baptist Church.  She loved the Lord and enjoyed reading the Bible as well as Christian literature.  Betty also enjoyed partaking in word searches and coloring in her leisure.  She also was very fond of rooster and hummingbird décor.  Betty was feisty and wasn’t ever afraid to speak her mind.  Betty loved her family, friends, and feline companion, “Zacky.” 

Survivors include:
Daughter, Marsha Mudrack of Huntington.
Son, Quentine (Francis Irene) Stidham of Mongo.
Son, Stanley (Melissa) Stidham of Wawaka. 
Grandchildren: Ashely (DJ) Unger, Jared (Rachelle) Mudrack, Cody (Kristen) Mudrack, Taylor (Courtnie) Stidham, Jonathan (Brandi) Stidham, Tabitha (Roberto) Barajas, Kaitlyn (Scott) Toner.
Great-grandchildren: Haylee Unger, Adalyn Unger, Rylee Mudrack, Jack Mudrack, Alyson Mudrack, Jaxson Mudrack, Hank Stidham, Mackenzie Jellison, Grayson Toner, Paisley Toner, Wade Stidham, Ivy Stidham, Walker Stidham, and baby boy Barajas on the way. 
Brother, Marshall Baker of Wolcottville.
Sister, Seba (Jim) Hanko of Lexington, Kentucky.
Sister, Ellen Dixon of Michigan. 
Sister, Thelma King of Michigan.
Sister, Barb (John) Owens of El Paso, Texas.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Arllie Baker, Arvalle Baker, Mildred Baker, Reba Hamllin, granddaughter, Heidi Stidham and a son-in-law, Dale Steven Mudrack.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 1:00 PM with calling one hour prior from 12 -1:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street, Kendallville.

Burial will take place following the services at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
