Annette Asher Obituary

Annette Asher, age 82, of Avilla, died Friday, November 27, 2020 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. Mrs. Asher was born in Glomawr, Kentucky on May 28, 1938 to the late Leslie Bedford Brewer and Cynthia (Fletcher) Brewer and grew up in Hazard, Kentucky. Annette was employed at McCray Hospital, Essex Wire, Kraft Foods and Kendallville Day Care Center. After she retired, she volunteered at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. Annette loved helping and caring for others in every facet of her life. She spent many years volunteering at Parkview Noble Hospital welcoming hospital guests and assisting with blood drives, which brought her so much joy. She loved making her family and friends feel loved, especially her granddaughters and great grandchildren. Annette never missed the opportunity to send a caring and kind card to those she loved on holidays and birthdays. She took pride in keeping her yard and home looking pristine and could often be found outside mowing and doing yard work. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, listening to live music, playing card games, and baking and cooking meals for those she loved. Annette was one of a kind and will be missed greatly by everyone who had the privilege of meeting her.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Tammy and Jeff Mishler of Rome City.
Son, Jeff and Julie Asher of Avilla.
Two granddaughters, Taryn Herron of Kendallville and Cherise and Gershwin Marks of Champaign, Illinois.
Two great grandchildren, Brylee Herron and Gage Herron.
She was preceded in death by her four sisters: Bessie Harris, Eula Jean Brewer, Mildred Currier and Mallie Moore; one brother, James Brewer.
