Sharon Wissman

August 29, 1943 ~ November 28, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Sharon Joan (Eifrid - Myers) Wissman, 74, passed away peacefully November 28 at Parkview Hospice Randallia. Born in Fort Wayne, Sharon grew up as a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School and graduated from New Haven High School, class of 1961. Her days at both Bethlehem and New Haven were a joy for her. Sharon was an extremely friendly, loving, and generous person, always considerate of others. She was very expressive and was known as a "hugger". She was both extremely well organized and an organizer initiating many gettogethers of family and friends. Her record-keeping ofevents, addresses, and phone numbers were well known by many making her the knowledge source when specific details were needed about family and friends. Sharon enjoyed sewing, gardening, especially growing flowers and potatoes, bowling, movies, and both listening and dancing to 50's music. She loved Elvis' music. Most of all, her life centered around her family, celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays with her children, grandchildren, siblings, and numerous cousins. Her knack for coming up with unusual, interesting, and appropriate gifts was unmatchable, usually wrapped very stylishly. Although she was primarily a stay at home mom, which she loved, Sharon's organizational skills and detail orientation led herto many administrative assistant and other office jobs outside the home. In the mid 90's, she moved to Bradenton, Florida, only to return to Fort Wayne ten years later as she missed her family and the Indiana changing of seasons. Upon her return, she joined Messiah Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, serving in various
capacities. Recently, she joined her husband as a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven. Sharon is survived by her husband, Neal Wissman of Fort Wayne; mother, Joan Foelker of Garrett, lN; children Amy Leitch, Iulie (Andy) Vesey, and Bill Marvin all of Fort Wayne; grandchildren Juliun Vesey of Kennebunk, ME, Thadius (Nicole) Vesey of Fort Wayne, Emily Leitch of Indianapolis, Josh Leitch of Fort Wayne, Marissa Marvin of Ona, WV, and Allison Marvin of Fort Wayne; sisters Kathy (Rick) Sowers and Jenni Rupel both of Fort Wayne, and brother Martin (Lil) Eifrid; step-children Jeff (Susan) Myers of Weirsdale, FL, Kym (Bill) Guevara of Fort Wayne, Steve (Barbara) Wissman of Cape Coral, FL, Mark Wissman of Fort Wayne, and Jim (LuAnn) Wissman of Verona, Wl; step sister-in-law, Rita Wissman of New Haven, and step brother-in-law Kenneth (Mary Ellen) Wissman of Southborough, MA.
