Roger Lee Addis

Roger Lee Addis, age 79, died Saturday, December 22, 2018 at his home in Churubusco.  Mr. Addis was born in Noble County near Albion, Indiana on March 28, 1939 to the late Leonard M. and Mildred (Harlan) Addis. He graduated from Albion High School in 1957 and honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1958-1961.  He married Edith Irene Ditton on June 9, 1962 in Churubusco, Indiana. Edith preceded him in death in April of 2008.  Roger was employed for 28 years with Fort Wayne Structural Steel.  In 1989, he started Busco Service & Towing and operated it until 2008.  He was a member of Cultivate Church in LaOtto, Churubusco American Legion Post 157 and the Auburn Moose Lodge 566.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Karen and Ed Harpel of Churubusco.
Daughter, Patricia and Kenny Winkler of Churubusco.
Daughter-in-law, Diane Addis of Kendallville.
8 grandchildren: Richard Harpel of LaOtto; Joshua Harpel of LaOtto; Clayton and Nancy Percey of Vidor, Texas; Jes Percey of Vidor, Texas; Austin and Katelyn Percey of Fort Wayne; Alyssa Percey and Harley Pymm of Vidor, Texas; Bryson Addis and Hope Addis both of Kendallville. 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Addis in 2015; sister, Linda Taylor; and brother, Duane Addis. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 27th from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Cultivate Church, 500 South Main Street, LaOtto, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28th at 11:00 AM at Cultivate Church with Pastor Aaron Lee officiating the funeral.
Burial with military honors will follow at Merriam Christian Chapel Cemetery.
