Robert L Crockett

Robert L. Crockett, 86, went to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday, Dec 26, 2019 at his home in Fort Wayne.  Robert was born in Grelton, Ohio, the son of George and Laura (Krohn) Crockett.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was a member of The Chapel.  Bob was the office manager of Western & Southern Life Insurance Company in Fort Wayne for 35 years.  He was also employed with Poorman’s Heating for 10 years and Kelley Automotive for 16 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, riding motorcycle, wood-working and camping.  

He is survived by:
His wife of 60 years, Marilyn Crockett of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Jo Gordon of Fort Wayne.
Son, Ron (Tammy) Crockett of Fort Wayne.
Daughter-in-law, Lori (Adam) Coleman of Dayton, Ohio.
Seven grandchildren.
Sister, Mary Jarvis.  
He was preceded in death by his son, Lynn Crockett and three brothers.

Visitation and the funeral service will be held at The Chapel, 2505 West Hamilton Road, Fort Wayne.  Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30th from 4:00 -7:00 PM.  The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019 at 11:00 AM with viewing an hour prior.  Pastor Rick Hawks will officiate the service.  Burial with military honors will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Chapel or to the American Diabetes Association.  Arrangements by Northern Indiana Funeral Care.
